The classice elegance of black (Swarovski Jet) and gold (Tierra Cast Pewter) come together in this fashionable necklace. The construction is simple but you will have to make some eyepins for the Swarovski crystal links. These eyepins were made using brass headpins. This is done because the standard eyes on ready made eyepins are not large enough for 2 jumprings of this size to be attached to one side. The heads of the headpins need to be snipped off and you will have to create the eyepins but as you do, you will need to make the loops larger than normal. Once that part of the project is done the rest comes together very quickly by simply opening rings and linking the parts together. Notice that you are making the "chain" by linking the small hammered rings with the jumprings. This allows you to make the finished length whatever you need it to be. The necklace as shown measures 19". If you feel you will want more length, you will have to purchase 2 packs of the small ring (P3085GB). When you get to where the small Swarovski crystals start, you will be doubling up the jumprings. The hammered rings graduate in size and so do the Swarovski crystals. *NOTE* The pendant hangs from the center gold ring with 1 round jumpring that has been squished in a bit to give it a more oval shape. This is necessary because of the spacing of the hole and the jumpring size. Making it oval gives the pendant room to move. This necklace is made to match the other "Golden Rings" pieces in the idea gallery. DESIGNER NOTE: All 3 pieces from the "Golden Rings" set have been created from products needed to make this necklace. This is based on the finished pieces as shown. You will obviously need to add the earring parts (P1077GB & EWCCC) but other than that, all of the rings and crystals come in a quantity large enough to make all 3 pieces.
